YC&AC’s rugby 1st XV have a rich history of bringing the game to Japan (both 15s and 7s), and hosting the YC&AC Japan Rugby Sevens tournament each April.

The rugby section also has a highly competitive (and equally sociable) Gents team, who play their matches during the October-April season.

The Club offers players in Japan an unrivalled opportunity to play friendly but highly competitive matches throughout the season at our own ground here in Yokohama. The social side of the game has always been a big part of game and we tour as much as possible throughout the world. It’s a fun club to be a part of and we offer a warm welcome to new players.

12-15 Saturdays per year are official matches in the Kanagawa Prefecture Over-40 league. On all other Saturdays we organize friendly matches with local Masters teams, whether full 11-aside or half pitch 8-aside. About once a month we organize a YCAC-only intra-squad session. As mentioned above, we also participate in 8-aside tournaments on public holidays about once every two months.
