Club Committees
Social Committee
A key mission of the Board of Directors is to enhance relationships of Members within our Club as well as with our local community through not only sports but also cultural, arts and science events. The Social Committee develops recommendations on social and entertainment activities and events (including Koeki activities).
Family/Kids Committee
For the YC&AC to remain sustainable we need to energize our youth so they continue to be active members as they grow into young adults, which will help attract new Junior Members and young adult Members. The Family/Kids Committee – made up of both adults and teens – looks at ways to expand the programs offered to people of all ages to ensure the YC&AC is a place for EVERYONE to enjoy.
Sports Committee
The Sports Committee is made up of the Captains of the various sports Sections (both team and individual). Members that are not Captains who have suggestions/ideas should first contact the Captain of the sport they are interested in. If your suggestion/idea is for a new sport that does not currently have a dedicated Section/Captain. A list of current sports Captains/Sections is available at the Concierge desk.
F&B Committee
Good food brings people together, forging bonds and creating conversation. The F&B Committee develops recommendations on the operation of the Mollison’s restaurant and bar facilities including suggestions on menus and improvements to equipment that will enhance the culinary experience for all Members and guests of the Club.
Sales/Marketing Committee
Our Club has numerous unique and world-class facilities to offer to outside organizations, individuals and companies for their use in order to bring in the revenue needed to upkeep our facilities and upgrade our services and operations for Members. The Sales/Marketing Committee develops recommendations on how to make better use of our facilities to the extent they are underutilized in off-peak hours for Members in order to increase revenues and also gain exposure to the wider community with the result of attracting more new Members.
House/Facilities Committee
YC&AC is one of the most historic and iconic landmarks in Yokohama dating back more than 150 years. The House/Facilities Committee’s mission is to provide a safe, well-maintained, and enjoyable physical environment for our Members, guests and staff that appropriately reflects its history and the legacy of the founders.
Membership/Rules Committee
Our Club must be inclusive and diverse and must develop our youth membership for the sake of our sustainable future. The Membership/Rules Committee works to maximize Club membership, and to develop and enforce appropriate rules and regulations governing Members and their conduct at the Club.
